This deactivated dried yeast has a nutty, cheese-like flavour and can be used as a dietary supplement or a condiment. It is not suitable for use as a raising agent. Nutritional yeast adds delicious flavour to casseroles, pasta, soups, salads and vegetables. It is rich in B-vitamins, including vitamin B12.
